Our school assemblies this term continue to focus on how to care for each other, inspired by Catholic Social Teaching. These teachings help us understand how to treat everyone with kindness and fairness, both nearby and around the world.
This week, our Year 2 class led an assembly on ‘Family, Community and Participation’. God made us to be part of families, communities, and even big countries so that we can share, help, and care for one another. He wants us to work together so that everyone can be happy and safe. People aren’t meant to be alone—we’re made to be connected! Throughout history, people have always lived in groups, helping each other grow and succeed. One great way to show kindness is by working together to make our community a better place. Everyone has a special job in making sure our neighbourhood, school, and world are good places to live— and we all get to enjoy the wonderful things that come from it!
